Pennsylvania Here We Come!!!

Yesterday, on the spur of the moment, Bob & I decided to take a trip to Pennsylvania Dutch Country to do some shopping for the store. We arrived in Lancaster County at approximately 2:30 a.m.-YAWN! With no particular agenda, we found a place to stay for the night and awoke early this morning feeling refreshed and exhilarated! We were off to find some new treasures for the store, and what a successful venture it proved to be! The next time you stop by the store, you'll find lots of new items including new pottery pieces, pictures, baskets with candle-lights, lampshades, throws, birdhouses, linens, country wallpaper borders and more! We think you'll be pleased!
In addition to the business aspect of the trip, we also took time to enjoy the beautiful countryside. Miles and miles of rolling hills, farmland, quaint countryside roads with Amish horse and buggies, cows, horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens...you name it, we saw it; and we smelled it...some smells not as pleasant as others, but still nature at its best.
Tomorrow we'll be heading out to explore the Cackleberry Farm Antique Mall in Paradise, PA. With 26,000 square feet and over 125 dealers all under one roof, we are sure to enjoy ourselves! Early to bed and early to rise...can't wait to hunt for more irresistable treasures!

Join Our Facebook Page!!

For those of you who know us, you know we've been in the process of selling our home and moving, hence the lack of updates on our blog! My sincere apologies to those of you who've been faithful about checking in! My goal after this month is over is to be more diligent about updating our website, our blog, and yes, our new Facebook page!
For those of you who are facebook fans, we invite you to check us out: Cinnamon Sticks & Candlewicks.
This has been a busy month, people are finally starting to visit the Cape...we've had a nice looooong rest this winter, but are ready and raring to go! We've cleaned, painted, rearranged, organized, and now we're feeling very energized! We are looking forward to a busy season this year.
We had two drawings this month for $25.00 gift certificates. One was for our in-house drawing that we do each month...you have to visit the store to enter to win.
The winner was: Marisa Scott, of Waltham. Our other drawing was in celebration of our new Facebook page. Each person that signed up as a fan was given a chance to win, and with every referral they sent our way, they were given an additional chance.
The winner of that drawing was: Debbie Baker, of West Yarmouth, MA. We congratulate our winners and will keep you all posted of upcoming events and drawings!

New Year, New Look!

Well folks, every year we spend the month of January packing up any left over Christmas product, and putting out new Spring items. It sounds a lot easier than it really is. As with any project, once you get started, something else needs to be changed, and so on, and so on. After a week of being closed, and the addition of a small office downstairs, we finally opened our doors again today, with a new fresh look to the store. We'll be posting pictures tomorrow, so be sure to check back. Sorry for the lapse in updates!
